Productos que NO volvería a comprar

Hice un post hace unos meses sobre los productos que sí volvería a comprar y solo parece lógico hacer lo mismo con los que no volveré a comprar. Muchas veces no es porque el producto en sí sea malo, sino que las circunstancias y, quizás, productos sustitutivos, me facilitan la elección. Otras veces es porque, simplemente, la utilidad del producto no es objetiva para mí.

A few months ago I posted about the products I would definitely buy again and it only feels logical to do the same with the ones I wouldn't buy again. Many times is not because it is "bad" or "useless", but it's because it's not what I really need or want.

1. BB Oil de Natural Honey con rosa mosqueta y aceite de almendras. Mi piel en Madrid se reseca mucho y necesita extra hidratación, por lo que pensé que este aceite con esos dos aceites tan famosos por sus propiedades reparadoras sería justo lo que necesitaba. ¿El resultado? Un absoluto desastre. La aplicación es un problema, te pringas entera y no acabas de quitarte la sensación grasienta, pero es que, encima, ¡el resultado es malo! Parece imposible pero después de unas semanas usándolo decidí dejar de hacerlo porque cada vez sentía mi piel más seca y deshidratada, algo que, por ejemplo, no me pasa con la famosa crema de aceite de oliva de Mercadona.

BB Oil by Natural Honey with sweet briar oil and almond oil seemed like the perfect option to me considering how famous those two ingredients are because of their restoring and nourishing benefits. The result? An absolute mess. The Application is rather difficult because it's very liquid-y and you never get the oily sensation off of you. But even worse, after all the trouble yo go through applying it, the result is definitely not worth it! It seems imposible but after a few weeks of use I decided to put it aside because I kept feeling my skin dryer and dehydrated, something that never happened to me with other products.

2. Uñas postizas imPress. Mi madre me regaló mi primeras uñas con este formato, son autoadhesivas y en teoría duran perfectas mucho más tiempo que las uñas normales. ¿Sabéis qué os digo? Que según las probé la primera vez me encantaron tanto que fui inmediatamente a comprarme otras, incluso aunque en cada pack vienen dos usos. Pero la realidad es que después de acabar el primer paquete, no volví a usarlas. Supongo que son más cómodas si tus uñas encajan a la perfección en el formato que tienen y si te acostumbras a ellas, pero para mí era una constante preocupación de si se me despegaban, se me veía la uña por debajo o demás problemas.

También hay que tener en cuenta que sí, uñas uñas desconchadas porque no te has retocado el pintauñas quedan feas, pero si se te cae una uñas postiza queda aún peor. Además de lo poco natural que resulta y lo raro que lo tocas todo... Para mí es un no.

I tried imPress fake nails for a while because my mom bought me a pack. I instantly loved them and I bought another one, but then I forgot about them and decided they were not for me. Why? I guess they are more fit for those whose nails match with the fake nail size and form, and for those who are used to them already. For me it was a constant worry about they falling off or if my nail was showing underneath... Also, old nail polish can look bad on nails but if you're missing a fake nail it looks worse for sure.

3. Nail Mask de Pink Duck para evitar marcharse el borde de la uñas al pintársela. Sinceramente, esto puede ser útil si haces muchos estilos que lo requieran, como la técnica de la esponja, pero para el pintarse las uñas día a día, aunque te salgas, no tiene sentido. El siguiente punto de mi lista es probar estos "rotuladores" que quitan con acetona esos bordes con precisión.

Nail Mask by Pink Duck to avoid nailpolish in the edges of the nail. Honestly, sounds good if you're up to different nail styles that requiere it, like the sponge method, but to use it daily I don't recommend. Next step on my to do list is to try one of those "pens" that "erase" with acetone the edges with precision.

4. Eyeliner rotulador 2 en 1 de Essence. Lo compré porque había comprado uno de Essence para una amiga y me pareció espectacular, cuando volví a comprarme otro para mí y no estaba el mismo, decidí probar ese por si era la fórmula de la marca lo que funcionaba realmente bien. Compré el 2 en uno a pesar de que sabía que no usaría la parte ancha, aunque quise convencerme de lo contrario.

Como casi todos los eyeliners en rotulador, la punta fina a veces deja de pintar, pero sobretodo pinta con poca intensidad si quieres una línea verdaderamente fina. Lo mantengo boca abajo y antes de usarlo lo pruebo en mi mano, pero aún así, si lo uso a diario supone tener que repetir el eyeliner un par de veces.

I bought the Eyeliner pen 2 in 1 by Essence because I had bought a few days before another one of Essence pens and I found it amazing so, when I went back to buy one for me and there were none of the ones I bought I decided to try this one because maybe it was the formula and not the pen itself.

As almost every pen eyeliner, the slim tip doesn't paint as well as it looks when you want it really thin. I store it looking down and I try it in my hand before I use it so the tip gets wet and functional but normally I have to repaint it a few times when I use it (which usually ends up in disaster).

5. NYX Finishing Powder. Como he estado buscando algo que le de ese toque final perfecto (y duradero) a mi maquillaje, me compré el finishing powder en NYX por recomendación de una amiga. Evita los brillos y mantiene el maquillaje en su sitio, en teoría.
La realidad es que no todo el mundo necesita polvos para mantener su maquillaje en su sitio, recientemente he comprado otro producto de acabado que viene en formato spray y lo encuentro mucho más adecuado para mi rostro en este momento.
Quizás a medida que se acerque el calor madrileño empiece a usar más estos polvos, pero ahora mismo... No

NYX Finishing Powder. I bought this recommended by a friend because I've been looking for that perfect finish touch but I find that not everybody needs a mattifying finish. Maybe some need the opposite. I find that I have much more better results with a spray finisher. Maybe when the summer comes I'll find new uses for this powder but, by now, I don't.

6. NYX Micro brow pencil. Ya lo hablé con vosotros en el post sobre cejas de la pasada semana, pero este lápiz retráctil de la marca lowcost más famosa del momento a mí se me hace poco. Y mira que lo he leído recomendado en todas partes. No me gusta la textura ni me gusta que se gaste tan rápido. Quizás su precisión es perfecta para quien la quiera, pero yo no tengo tiempo para dibujarme las cejas como una obra de arte -tengo mucho que rellenar-. Probablemente pronto pruebe otro de sus formatos, a ver si me funciona mejor.

The Micro brow pencil by NYX is so famous I had to try it but is definitely not for me. I don't like its texture nor how fast it goes by. Maybe its precision is perfect for those who want it but I don't have time to make my eyebrows look like a work of art -I have so much to fill in-. Probably I'll try soon another one of their options though, maybe it will work better.

7. La Riche Directions en tono blanco. Uno de los tantos botes que compré cuando el año pasado me decoloré el pelo. Realmente era consciente -después de muchos intentos- de que no funcionaría tan bien como quería, pero nunca pensé que sería tan absolutamente inútil. Os estoy hablando de tener el pelo decolorado rubísimo (solo hay que ver mi Instagram y mis vídeos del año pasado para ver que no miento), de echarse este producto durante HORAS y que al retirarlo, siempre con agua fría, fuera como si no me hubiera echado nada.
No dudo de la efectividad de otros colores porque, aunque tampoco era ninguna panacea, el color gris sí me funcionó y estoy segura de que colores más intensos funcionan mejor, pero si estáis pensando en comprar este tono... No os lo recomiendo.

La Riche Directions in White. One of the many I used when I bleached my hair last year. I was aware -really- that, after so many tries, it wouldn't work as well as I would have liked, but I never thought it would be SO USELESS. I'm talking about having very very blond bleached hair (you just have to see my Instagram and videos from last year to see that I'm not lying), having the product on for HOURS and when it comes the time to take it of, with cold water, of course, having my hair as I had never used anything on it.
I don't doubt of the effect other colors have because, even though it wasn't perfect either, grey used to work better on me. And I know that more intense colors work much better. But if you're thinking about buying this color... I don't recommend it.
